Gaia Group was founded in 2000 with a view to introducing authentic dining experiences to Hong Kong.
Since its inception in 2000, Gaia Group has followed a planned expansion strategy to ensure each of its brands is carefully nurtured and that the restaurants maintain the stipulated high standards.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, the Group now owns and operates a string of western fine dining, casual dining and Chinese restaurants.
Over the past 18 years the Group has grown to a portfolio of over 40 restaurants with multiple themes in different locations in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and Bangkok. With a track record of success, the Group continues to expand in Asia every day incorporating new food concepts and modern designs.

2018

Bloom by WJS and Glasshouse open new locations in Tai Koo Shing, and Greyhound is scheduled to open in Elements Mall by the end of July.

Chengdu Greyhound is also anticipated to open at the end of August this year.

2017

Wang Jia Sha and Townhouse open in Siam Paragon in Bangkok.

TYFUN opens in Hong Kong, Lee Gardens.

2016

The Group opens its first ever gelato experience with Petite House at Times Square in Hong Kong.

The Group modernized its Wang Jia Sha dining concept by introducing a new menu and ambiance at Bloom by Wang Jia Sha (王家沙花樣年華).

Greyhound Cafe opened its 7th restaurant in Hong Kong, at New Town Plaza.

2015

The Group opens 3 new locations in Hong Kong: Greenhouse in Times Square, Townhouse in California Tower, IVY in IFC Mall,

Va Bene, the Group's Italian Trattoria, relocated to Soho 189 in Hong Kong.

Glasshouse and Greyhound cafe opened new locations in Shanghai, as well as a newly a renovated Va Bene at Xintiandi.

2014

Glasshouse, a spectacular harbor view setting that serves Asian cuisine with a western twist, opened in IFC mall.

The authentic, yet contemporary, Italian cuisine on which Gaia Ristorante has built its name, was introduced to Shanghai with the opening of Gaia:2 at IAPM.

The Group continues to expand with the opening of Wang Jia Sha at Whampoa in Kowloon, and Greyhound Cafe at Cityplaza II in Hong Kong as well as at Chaoyang in Beijing and Xintiandi in Shanghai.

2013

Wang Jia Sha and Greyhound Cafe opened at the revamped MOKO mall in Kowloon.

Greyhound Cafe was introduced to mainland China with its opening at Sanlitun Village in Beijing and at IAPM Mall in Shanghai.

2012

Bene Pizza & Pasta, specializing Italian casual dining, opened at Olympian City 2 in Kowloon.

Following the growing prominence of Greyhound Cafe at IFC mall, the chain established its presence at Harbour City and Festival Walk.

2011

Greyhound Cafe, the successful restaurant chain in Thailand, was introduced to Hong Kong. The first local Greyhound Cafe opened at IFC mall, offering Thai cuisine with a twist.

2010

The group expanded its footprints in mainland China by opening Isola Bar & Grill at IFC mall in Shanghai.

2008

Wang Jia Sha continued its expansion in Hong Kong with the opening of its Festival Walk and Cityplaza II restaurants.

2007

Joia opened on the roof garden of Elements Mall, a premium shopping mall underneath the iconic ICC in West Kowloon, providing a new location across the Hong Kong harbor for those who love Italian cuisine.

2004

Isola Bar & Grill opened its doors at IFC mall, serving authentic Italian cuisine in a spectacular 7,000 sq ft venue that overlooks the Hong Kong harbor.

Isobar, a sister venue, also opened to offer a glittering setting for corporate functions, private parties, or simply social gathering for a relaxed drink after work.

2002

Wang Jia Sha, the Master of Shanghainese Dim Sum, was introduced to Hong Kong, offering Shanghainese cuisine with a contemporary touch.

2001

The Group opened Gaia Ristorante and brought Va Bene, the oldest Italian restaurant in Lan Kwai Fong, under its wing. Both restaurants serve authentic Italian cuisine. The Group also began its venture into mainland China by opening Va Bene at Xin Tian Di in Shanghai.

2000

Gaia Group was founded in Hong Kong
